Job description
Responsibilities:
For one of our client in the energy sector, we are looking for Program Risk Manager who will work in collaboration with the client's colleagues. As contract management is a key success factor for the effective implementation of a program, the program has appointed a Program Contracts Manager.
As risk management is crucial for a cost-effective program, the Program has appointed a Program Risk Manager. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in complex project management (EPC/EPCM) and in risk management.
Define an operational program governance in terms of risk management aligned with the client's policies:
- Supervise and challenge ongoing projects and sub-programs during:
- Sub-program review & risk review
- Project review & risk review
- Project readiness review (3 months before realization activities)
- Oversee the correct definition of program & project contingencies/buffers & their proper documentation:
- Ensure the correct use of governance in this matter, including validating the result of the risk analysis of the project/sub-program presented to the Investment committee on behalf of the program.
- Ensure consistency in program/project risk evaluation.
- Supervise, challenge & report on the progress & proper definition of top sub-program/project risk mitigation action plans. Utilize expertise & project background to support program/project managers in defining correct mitigation actions. Ensure mitigation action plans are on track & escalate when necessary.
- Create and maintain appropriate key risk indicators (KPIs) and trigger limits to track trends in risk exposures.
- Aggregate risk matrix
- Organize/participate in peer reviews on risk management
- Periodically review the program risks related governance.
- Lead, contribute and/or deliver risk training and awareness initiatives on behalf of the Program as may be required.
Criteria
Qualifications and Skills
• You hold a university degree or equivalent experience.
• You demonstrate proactivity and initiative-taking.
• You have analytical skills, a strong sense of synthesis (structured), and are rigorous.
• You enjoy collaborating, working in teams, and demonstrate assertiveness.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), SAP; familiarity with Clarity is an asset (portfolio management tool).
